The review article titled “The role of gut microbiome in the pathogenesis of psoriasis and the therapeutic effects of probiotics” published in Journal of Family Medicine and Primary Care, on pages 3496-3503, Volume 8, Issue 11, 2019[1], is being retracted because few sections of content was plagiarized from another article titled “The Gut Microbiome as a Major Regulator of the Gut-Skin Axis”, published in Frontiers in Microbiology, 10 July, 2018[2] with verbatim similarity. Plagiarism, fabrication, duplication, unethical or redundant publication violates the editorial policy of Journal of Family Medicine and Primary Care, which follows best practice guidelines given by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) and Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) mentioned on the Information for Authors and as codified in the signed statements made by the authors regarding the copyright of their work.
This article has been retracted on request of the Editor-in-Chief of the journal.
